Steve Orlandella has spent his entire career working in television. He studied broadcasting, history and theatre at California State University, Northridge. While working on his degrees he joined the University staff as a producer and director of Educational TV. In 1979, he joined KTLA Channel 5 in Los Angeles as a news producer and senior sports producer. During six years in news he won Golden Mikes and Associated Press Awards for his work.
