Tom Olson has an engineering degree from the University of Minnesota. After 3 years in the aerospace industry, Tom switched to the HVAC industry, as a service salesman, for a national temperature control company. After being an ASHRAE (the American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers) member, his chapter's Energy Committee was asked to review and comment on ASHRAE 90-75, a document that ultimately became the energy code for all 50 states.
