My name is Sandra Leigh Olson and I was born in 1950. The whole time I was growing up, I wanted to be a nurse. Born in Presque Isle, Maine, I grew up as a "military brat," living all over the United States and in Europe. I didn't finish nursing school until after my three children were born. Since then I have worked as a Registered Nurse in several hospitals, taught in a Vocational Nursing School, and I spent a short time as a prison nurse at the Women's Correctional Facility in Gatesville, Texas. I have worked in OB, Pediatrics, NICU, Dialysis and Geriatrics.
