Beverly Louise Oliver-Farrell was born in East Providence, R.I. on August 31, 1942. Her father passed away when she was four and her mother passed away when she was a teenager. Beverly, an Honor student, wrote a series of short stories while attending East Providence High school in Rhode Island. The quality of her craft inspired the school to find her a scholarship, but family needs made it impossible to accept any offers.
