Obeidi, Mahdi

Mahdi Obeidi directed Iraq's successful uranium processing program. He made headlines when he turned over plans and parts from the uranium centrifuge program he had buried in his garden for years. After four months of debriefing in Kuwait, Dr. Obeidi has now been granted asylum and moved with his family to the US.
