O'Neil, Katherine

O'Neil, originally from Buffalo, New York, received a B.A. in English from D'Youville College. She relocated to Las Vegas and attended the graduate playwriting program at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. In February of 1999 she was diagnosed with malignant melanoma and her prognosis was grim. After a year of highly toxic chemotherapy she was unexpectedly pronounced cancer free.
