Thomas O'Hara, a retired Marine colonel, serves as aviation historian for the Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum (FLAM) in San Diego--one of only three USMC operated command museums--and is a helicopter pilot. O'Hara, who flew in and out of Camp Pendleton for 25 years, currently conducts West Coast USMC aviation research for the Corps. He is also author of Arcadia's Marine Corps Air Station: El Toro.
