Nathaniel Norment, Jr. is Associate Professor and Chair of the African American Studies Department at Temple University in Philadelphia. He earned his undergraduate degree in English and history from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, and his Ph.D. in language literacy, and learning (curriculum and instruction) from Fordham University in New York.
