MR. WILLIAM NEWBY Born January 30, 1941 in Dundee, Scotland, son of a great mechanical engineer, and grandson of a great Scottish Poet, James Nairn. William immigrated to America in 1951. After eight years and thirteen trips, by boat across the Atlantic, Billy, as his mother called him, finally settled in Yonkers, New York in 1959 having graduated from high school twice. Once in Dundee and again in Yonkers.
