From a starting point as a relatively short high school athlete fighting to land a college scholarship to being named a two-time MVP of the NBA as been an incredible journey for a professional basketball player. He learned his legenadry work ethic and hoop skills in the early years in Victoria, British Columbia. He confidently told his mother that one day he would play in the NBA while still in junior high school.
