Nagarkar, Kiran

Kiran Nagarkar was born in 1942, and studied at the University of Bombay. A novelist, playwright, short-story and screenplay writer, he has also been a teacher, film and literary critic, magazine editor, and advertising copywriter. His controversial play, Bed Time Story, put into production on four separate occasions, has foundered each time because of fear by the actors of violent audience reaction. He has lectured at various American universities.
