The author earned an MA in English Literature from the University of South Dakota, and later earned an MA as a certified Bilingual/Cross-Cultural Specialist from San Diego State University in California. He has taught throughout the United States, in Spain, Mexico City, and most recently in Acapulco at the Universidad Autonoma de Guerrero, followed by 10 years at his own academy, the Instituto Americano in Acapulco.
