Ronald F. Murphy was one of three children born to Raymond and Catherine Murphy, and was raised in the quiet town of Maplewood New Jersey. Having parents as educators, he was not only taught the often over used clich that it's the key to a better future, but a necessity for acceptance in a diverse society in which he was the minority.
