Julie Murphree grew up on an Arizona cotton farm during the 1960s and 1970s. After her career in business journalism, she went back to her roots by writing Fresh Air to share with others the unique ways that one can treasure the place they currently live in but at the same time enhance it by bringing into their lifestyles those fresh and crisp aspects of country or rural life. As a suburbanite herself, Julie has learned how to keep a bit of the country girl in her life regardless of how citified she becomes. She currently does media relations and marketing for various clients.
