Eric started writing poetry when he met his wife in 1969 at Yale. In medical school in Houston he continued to write. Driving a cab in Houston he wrote Cab Tales, the second edition of which is published by Ink Brush Press. Leaving medical school and living for six months in the north of Scotland he honed his skills. At Rice studying literature and Nietzsche, he earned a Master's degree.
