Joel Morrow has been gardening professionally since 1974 in California, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. For a decade, he gardened intensively three acres of vegetables, directing mentally disabled adults, and, for the next 30 years, installed hundreds of flower and vegetable gardens. Today, his seven-acre homestead in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, is covered almost entirely with fruit trees, vegetable gardens, pond gardens, hidden gardens, woodland gardens, and flowering borders.
