Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, Taedra J. Morris spent her early years listening to the vivid stories of her father, a man of many talents. Taedra grew up in a Christian home, attended Catholic schools, and learned about the glory of God in a Baptist Church. She graduated from West High School and later attended the University of Utah. Taedra graduated in 2004 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Human Development and Family Studies. In 2005 she moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she currently resides.
