Morris, Sarah

Sarah Morris (born 1967) lives and works in New York and London. Since the mid-1990s, she has been making complex abstract paintings and films. These works, are derived from close inspection of architectural details combined with a critical sensitivity to the psychology of a city and its key protagonists. She showed her work in many solo exhibitions including Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin (2001), Moderna Museet in Stockholm (2005), Palais de Tokyo in Paris (2005), Fondation Beyeler in Riehen (2008), and MMK in Frankfurt (2009).
