Alanis Morissette is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, record producer, and actress. She has been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, won sixteen Juno Awards, seven Grammy Awards, and was nominated for two Golden Globes. Morissette began her career in Canada, where, as a teenager, she recorded two pop albums, Alanis and Now Is the Time. Her first international album, the rock-influenced Jagged Little Pill, was released in 1995 and has sold more than 33 million copies around the world. She lives in Los Angeles.
