David Meyer studied Geology at the University of Nebraska, where he received a Commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the USAF upon graduation. After his twenty-one year career as a USAF pilot, he now runs the Luz Observatory in Apple Valley, California as well as the Planetarium at Victor Valley College, where he is an Associate Professor of Astronomy. He and his wife, world-renowned Astronomer Linda Morabito Meyer, conduct research in astrophysics.
