Moore, Samuel (1830-1895) British jurist. Judge in Manchester, legal adviser of Marx and Engels (being their close personal friend). Member of the International. Translated the Communist Manifesto into English (1888 translation). Also translated, jointly with Edward Aveling, volume one of Capital.
