Monahan, Robert

Robert Monahan grew up across the street from the famed Calumet Farm in Lexington, KY, which began his love for the Bluegrass area and it's most famous product, thoroughbred race horses. He started writing poetry and musical lyrics during his tour of duty with the United States Air Force while stationed overseas during the Vietnam War. This developed his experience as well as his appreciation and understanding of diverse cultures, which is reflected in his writing.
