Mitchell, Jake

Naomi Matthews was born on March 14, 1986 in Detroit, Michigan; Naomi is the third of ten children, as a child she began to express herself through writing. When Naomi was 14 she began writing poetry and admired the late Dr. Mya Angelou. At the age of 27 Naomi began attending spoken word events and participating in open mic night at different venues in Georgia. Naomi tied for first place in the HDR 2015 Poetry Slam. The co-author Jake Mitchell was born June 30, 1987 in Detroit, Michigan. Jake began writing poetry when he was 8 years old, he is currently working on his first movie script.
