Marc G. Mitchell, DVM, was raised on a horse farm in Kingston, New Hampshire. His family raised standardbred racehorses for nearly thirty years. Mitchell's fascination with and respect for horses led him to become a veterinarian. He earned his DVM from The Ohio State University, and he's worked in both large- and small-animal practices. His first book, "Hoofprints in the Sand", told the story of Mitchell's lifelong love of horses.
