My name is Freda Mincey. I was born in Gadsden, Alabama; a Southern woman, born in the Heart of Dixie. My passion for the history of my ancestors came to life when I wrote a 500-page genealogy book. During this project I discovered I was twice related to General Robert E. Lee. I also found out that I am a descendant of General Stonewall Jackson, as well as "The Gray Ghost," John Singleton Mosby. Confederate Blood runs through my veins. I have replaced one monument, "The Black Creek Rock," here in Gadsden, and also the "Unity Monument," in Plantersville, Mississippi, for the graves of 13 known
