I started writing these books when my children were little. Some of the pond characters represent some of their childhood friends. Toado is after my son Todd and his cute little sister Polly is after my daughter Mandi. They are both wonderful parents to my beautiful grandchildren. I wrote each book for my family to leave a legacy and to teach valuable life lessons to children. I lost a son, Travis, when he was only 4 1/2 months old.
