Cris Barrish, 40, grew up in the Wilmington area, graduated from the University of Delaware and has worked as a sports, political and investigative reporter at the "Wilmington News Journal" for the last 18 years. He has won numerous awards from the Associated Press, Best of Gannett, Maryland-Delaware-D.C. Press Association and the Philadelphia chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists during his career. He has covered the Fahey-Capano case from start to finish, writing nearly 300 stories. "Fatal Embrace" is his first book. Barrish and his wife, Mary, have a four-year-old son, Luke.
