I wrote and illustrated my first children's book when I was 16 years old for a grade eleven art class assignment. I remember my art teacher commenting I should write children's stories. I also studied fine art under the mentorship of a local Canadian artist. I didn't think I could make a living with art, so I eventually graduated from York University with a B.A. in Psychology.
