Originally from New York, June J. McInerney is the author of a number of collections of short stories, including The Basset Chronicles, two volumes of poetry, and Forty-Thirty, a historical coming of age novel set in a small New York village in the 1960s. She is also the playwright and lyricist for a number of musicals that have been produced by various theaters across the country.
