JOSHUA McGUIRE is Senior Lecturer in Musicianship at Vanderbilt University's Blair School of Music. As a classical guitarist, he has performed throughout the United States and internationally, specializing in new works for the instrument. As a librettist, he works with composer Evan Mack to create engaging yet accessible works for the opera stage. He resides in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife, pianist and vocal coach Jennifer McGuire, their son Thomas, and two basset hounds.
