As a high school student, Denise McGill fell in love with the idea of illustrating children's books after reading "Alice in Wonderland" and "Alice Through the Looking Glass." However she got married, as many girls do, and started a family and so finishing school was put on the back burner. Only after the children all left home, did she get back to finishing her degree in Fine Arts and is now pursuing a Master's degree in Illustration from Academy of Art University, CA.
