According to first time novelist, Sharon E. McGee, "No one could have asked for a more interesting and varied life. Ms McGee served in the US Navy as a surgical technician and worked in New Delhi, India as an x-ray technologist. Taking time out to earn her Ed.S in Psychology she taught as an adjunct professor in Naples, Italy. On returning to the States she worked as an addictions specialist for Beaufort County before accepting a job as a school psychologist from which she retired in 1998.
