The author has long had an interest in military history. Growing up just outside of Trenton, New Jersey he was introduced to military history at a young age as a result of Trenton's pivotal role in Washington's Winter 1776-77 campaign. Throughout his early life, the author had the honor of visiting many of the historic battlefields that dot this country. This only deepened his interest in the subject.
