Annie Laughter is a graduate of Peabody College of Education and Human Development at Vanderbilt University. She majored in both elementary and special education and taught in Nashville-area public and private schools for more than twenty-five years. In 2010, Laughter was one of three finalists for Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools' Teacher of the Year.
