Alphie McCourt, the youngest of the McCourt brothers, was born in 1940, at home, in Barrack Hill, in Limerick. After immigrating to the US in 1959 he has lived in Canada, California and New York where he now resides with his wife Lynn and daughter Allison. He has published a memoir, A Long Stone's Throw (Sterling & Ross), in 2008.
