McConnell, Shawn

Raised in Hoonah, a small village on an island in Southeast Alaska, Shawn McConnell grew up in and around commercial fishing. After graduating from Seattle Pacific University he moved to Fairbanks where he taught high school science for 20 years. He returned to Hoonah where he now operate a whale watching tour service and enjoys the beauty of the Tongass National Forest and the waters of the inside passage.
