Lucie McCommon was raised on a farm where she discovered a talent for reading. She turned that into a musical career that was more interesting than she had ever sought. While living much of this fictionalized memoir, she raised three sons and toured with a Spanish tenor who possessed musical gifts, they both agree, took them on paths that were often not of their own choosing.
