Elizabeth A. Maynard, Ph.D., is associate professor and chair of Clinical Mental Health Counseling programs at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. She is trained and licensed as a clinical psychologist and has focused her work on adult clients. Her emphasis in research, training, and clinical work is on the intersection of sexuality and religion/spirituality. Dr. Maynard has a further interest in the intersection of religion and coping, particularly the use of faith to cope with prejudice.
