Kerry (Paul) May was born in eastern Oregon in 1956, lived there until 1969 then moved to Madrid, Spain, where he lived until 1974. He then moved to Eugene to attend the University of Oregon, received his BA in English in 1978 and his MFA in 1982. An award-winning poet, widely published, he's the author of a volume of poems titled, "Test Flights," published by West End Press in 1985, and the novels, "The World, Book One," "The World, Book Two," and "The World, Book Three, Part 1," in 2013.
