Dale Ann Hawkins graduated from West Virginia University with an M.A. in Education. After teaching kindergarten for many years, Dale followed her lifelong dream of writing a children's book. Taking a prized beach find into her classroom for Writer's Workshop, the story of My Best Find...Ever developed. "One of my passions has always been teaching young children to read and write.
