Author, Cora D. Ford was born to a common laborer and housewife on the dusty West Texas Plains. Through a series of unfortunate circumstances, Cora was left to be raised by her grandparents, George and Fannie Jefferson. Cora is an avid reader, a pet lover, and is retired from the Dallas Independent School District. She has two children, both of whom are educators and three grandchildren who love books. She originally began writing to share some of her fondest childhood memories about her pets with her grandchildren. Now she wishes to share those memories with the world.
