Marcie Eanes is a journalist and poet who holds a BA in Journalism from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. She has written for numerous publications including the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and Grand Rapids Press newspapers. Her work has also appeared in Essence and Seventeen magazines. A native of Racine, Wisconsin, Eanes resided in Los Angeles, California for nearly 15 years. She was a teacher's aide, student advisor and grief counselor, then later went on to establish a successful copyediting business while there.
