Five years ago I went to a convention in Hawaii, stepping off the plane I realized that I belonged on the Islands. I have been back to the islands and I have realized that writing about the Hawaiian Islands is my best path to the Islands and if I cannot be on the islands I want to write about them. In my quest to live on the islands I have talked to several transplants and found a similarity in the stories of these transplants and their quest to be "on the beach."
