Mann, Perry

Perry Mann grew up on his grandparents farm near Hinton, West Virginia. He has an undergraduate degree and a law degree from Washington and Lee University. He was elected to the West Virginia Legislature and twice elected prosecuting attorney of Summers County, West Virginia. Perry Mann served in the Army Air Corps in North Africa during the Second World War. He is the author of over 1500 essays. Selected essays on nature and farming appear in Mann and Nature a book compiled by Ann Bowers. Selected essays on religion appear in Secular Mann, a book compiled by Julian Martin.
