Zoltan Malocsay grew up in Oklahoma, riding horses and flying airplanes. He worked his way through college as a daily newspaper reporter and magazine author, publishing over a million words before leaving university. After graduating Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Oklahoma's Professional Writing School (now gone), he studied at the University of Iowa's Writer's Workshop.
