MacShane, Denis

Denis MacShane was Minister for Europe until the election of 2005. Before entering Parliament he wrote several biographies of international figures including Francois Mitterrand and Lech Walesa. He started his career as a journalist with the BBC, and was the head of communications for the International Metalworkers Federation, where he learned about European politics.
