Volker Luedecke, born 1961 in Hanover, lives and works as a writer in Berlin since 1983. For his play "Daria" he won the 1997 Else Lasker-Schueler-Drama Award (shared with "Hollensturz" by Fritsch). Volker Luedeckes dramas and comedies with black humor were premiered in well known theaters in Germany. In 2013 he published his first crime story playing in the city of Berlin.
