Francis Lovett has been a teacher and administrator at several prominent independent college preparatory schools where he taught traditional literature courses, Advanced Placement courses, and where he introduced courses in his specialty, ancient and modem Irish literature. In 1986 the University of Chicago named him an Outstanding Secondary School Teacher. Now retired, he has served as adjunct faculty at SUNY -Plattsburgh and Ohio University-Chillicothe.
