Lopez, Yulalona

Yulalona Lopez's life strangely parallels that of the hero of some of her novels, Coyote. She started out as an animal spirit and local legend to become an iconic image of mythical humor. She was raised by a Tohono O'odham father and schooled at local institutions, even unproductively at Harvard, to survive on the fringes of the modern monstrous megalith.
