Adrian Lobley captained/managed his first tennis team at the age of 16 when he ran Bardsey Tennis Club's junior mixed team and then followed that by running the club's senior mixed team a year later which he is still running 25 years on. During his time in charge of the senior team it won promotion from Division 4 to Division 1, won two Division 1 titles and two league cups in the Barkston Ash league in Yorkshire.
